I was at Taymount Camp when the area was bombed by German Aircraft. The target was a large textile mill nearby, but this was not harmed during the raid.
A moving train was targeted also, but as the bombs landed, the train entered a tunnel and the bombs landed harmlessly on the land over the tunnel. The train emerged from the tunnel and continued on its way unharmed. The bombs straddled Taymount Camp of the NOFU during the night, when the foresters were all in bed and in darkness. There was no harm done to the camp or to the foresters, with one exception. One of my bunkmates received a bloody nose when books stored on a shelf over the head of his bed were knocked off by the shock waves from the landing bombs. Despite the obvious danger, this was viewed as being quite hilarious by the rest of the fellows.
